Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) has become a regulatory and professional requirement, which requires representatives and key individuals in the insurance industry to remain up to date with changes in the market so that they can continue to provide the best products and practices in the market.

However it certainly does not need to be any more burdensome than recognising what many of us already do.

With this in mind, the Marine Forum has been recognised and accredited by the Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA), the administrative center for CPD, and delegates who attend will be able to obtain an appropriate CPD rating.

Currently, because of the content and the time involved, the attendance at the Marine Forum is worth 8 CPD hours.

The Marine Forum only affords CPD recognition for those who actually attend the forum as well as those who present at The Forum.

The Marine Forum will issue a certificate to individuals confirming their attendance and the CPD hours achieved.

In terms of the CPD system the time spent by speakers in researching and presenting can also accumulate CPD points.

The attached form needs to completed and sent to the Marine Forum organisers to be forwarded to the IISA. >>>Marine Forum CPD Speaker Application Form
